Jules Helm

Jules has over 30 years experience as a teacher, director, dancer, actor, performer and coach. He is certified in the Alexander Technique, Williamson Technique, and as a Yoga Teacher. He has been working professionally since the age of 8. He teaches Ballroom/Latin Partner Dances, including Salsa and Argentine Tango. He also has an extensive knowledge in Laban Movement Analysis.

Highlights:

~Started in gymnastics at age 3.

~1st professional role as an actor was at age 8.

~At age 17, began touring worldwide as a Specialty Partner Dancer Act (Adagio, Latin, Ballroom and Argentine Tango).

~International Latin, American Style Rhythm and Theater Arts competitor.

~19 year association with the William Esper Studio steeped in the Meisner Technique, 11 years of those years teaching both Partner Dance (Arg. Tango & Salsa)  and the Williamson Movement Technique for Actors.

~Amy Adams’ dance partner in the movie Enchanted.

~Performed alongside Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Marc Anthony, Patrick Swayze. 

~Salsa Teacher to Aaliyah.

~Extensive Coursework at USC, UCLA & AFI in film, dance and acting.

Produced, Directed and Edited the Award Winning Short Film FILMNOIR written by Allan Knee.

Jules specializes in working with Performers and Non-Performers, 

offering Group Practices and Private Sessions.
